Qty. 6 Bundles, each bundle approx. 1 lb., 5-strands twisted per strand
HOW NOT TO USE THIS PRODUCT:
Do not attempted to separate the individual strands from the 5-ply coil. Doing so will result in excessive knotting. If you have the patience and succeed at separating the strands they will immediately curl up. Removing the curling is next to impossible. Your garnished ghillie suit will ultimately looking horrible.
HOW TO USE
Simply take a 5-ply strand (as is) and tie it onto your ghillie suit in any fashion you choose. Leave as is. The 5-ply coil will not unravel on it's own thus curling will not be an issue.
ALSO DO THIS
After you've tied it all on give the entire ghillie suit the fire-hose treatment. A high-pressure garden hose will narrow nozzle will do the trick. Simply jet spray all the jute on your ghillie suit under high pressure at any angle and a distance about 3 feet.
Apply hose pressure for 8 to 10 minutes for a portion the size of a covered sniper Boonie hat. Hang and let air dry. Once dry shake. The result will appear as shown in product photo. It's perfectly blended and has excellent inconsistent texture throughout. Repeating this process after the jute is dry may yield greater results but may not be necessary.
SUMMARY
Once the 5-ply strands are tied on it won't unravel. The stands still stay subtly twisted near it's knot but the lower sections of the hanging strands will loosen from the water hose treatment thus breaking up the fiber enough to give it superb texture.
FINAL ANALYSIS
By using this 5-Ply jute strands to garnish your ghillie will save you time from peeling off single stands form a 1-ply jute bundle and achieve the same or better results.
