What is MOSS Jute Hair?
MOSS Hair can mimic the look of thin dead grass or clumps of natural moss. Moss Hair is thin as human hair. It's strong, lightweight and given the name "MOSS” because once it’s tied onto your clothing or equipment it looks like moss, and dead clumps of grass.

MOSS Hair is unique and it looks different than burlap
Unlike burlap strips or jute strands MOSS Jute Hair provides a unique and effective texture to aid in the overall concealment effort. It can be used alone or in conjunction with other fibers and natural vegetation.

Why does it make good field camouflage?
Since Jute is a natural fiber it has all natural characteristics. The older and dirtier it gets the more natural it looks.

Natural vegetation makes the best camouflage...
Yes, exactly. Remember jute is a natural fiber. It can be used to supplement your natural vegetation or in place of when vegetation is sparse.
What Am I Getting for My Money?...
Each bundle of fiber weighs about one-pound. We pre-package the fiber into a clear polybag and the fiber is folded in half, thus making the plastic bundle about 17-inches in length. Once you've extracted the fiber from the bag and lay it out end-to-end the fiber measures roughly 31-inches.
Applying Fiber to your Clothing...
Because of the fact the strands are so thin we suggest tying shorter strands into your clothing. This will prevent it from clumping off during your stalks. It's an excellent fiber to use as "filler" for you ghilliesuit thus keeping the overall weight of your suit down yet providing an all natural vegetative look. Going one step further you can also use 4-inch zip ties to hold your knots into place, this will ensure greater staying power onto your clothing. You can cut the fiber strands in half or thirds if desired to achieve some texture and depth for your garnished ghilliesuit. We do not suggest tying ALL your fiber at the provided length as it may produce a "Stringed Spaghetti" look.
